She opened the doors over ten years ago with a simple goal — to create a welcoming, local salon where clients feel cared for, connected, and leave feeling their absolute best. A graduate of the Douglas J. Aveda Institute with over 22 years of experience, Shannon has built her career on continued education and a genuine passion for helping people feel confident in their hair. She’s known for creating styles that perfectly suit each client’s face shape, texture, and lifestyle, and she’s a master at texturizing and bringing hair back to health. She loves helping her clients fall in love with their hair again. Shannon also takes great pride in carefully choosing the talented independent stylist who make up the Bella Amici team. Each one shares dedication to creativity, education, and genuine client care — ensuring that every guest feels heard, valued and completely cared for from start to finish. When she’s not at the salon, you’ll find Shannon outdoors with her four kids, enjoying all that Northern Michigan has to offer. Micah is a graduate of Booker Institute of Cosmetology and attends yearly classes and hair shows that demonstrate the latest trends in cutting, color, and style. There is nothing more beautiful than a haircut. Flattered by beautiful dimension that serves to create movement and texture within your hairstyle. It’s about the experience and connection! Since graduating from Traverse City Beauty college, continued education has been a priority to her as she keeps up on the ever changing trends. Her certifications include Redken Color, obtained in New York, and Global Keratin taming and smoothing treatments, among other precision and creative cutting techniques from various industry leaders and artists. Shannon is the reason Bella Amici Salon came to life. She opened the doors over ten years ago with a simple goal — to create a welcoming, local salon where clients feel cared for, connected, and leave feeling their absolute best. A graduate of the Douglas J. Aveda Institute with over 22 years of experience, Shannon has built her career on continued education and a genuine passion for helping people feel confident in their hair. She’s known for creating styles that perfectly suit each client’s face shape, texture, and lifestyle, and she’s a master at texturizing and bringing hair back to health. She loves helping her clients fall in love with their hair again. Shannon also takes great pride in carefully choosing the talented independent stylist who make up the Bella Amici team. Each one shares dedication to creativity, education, and genuine client care — ensuring that every guest feels heard, valued and completely cared for from start to finish. When she’s not at the salon, you’ll find Shannon outdoors with her four kids, enjoying all that Northern Michigan has to offer. She’s an avid mountain biker and outdoor enthusiast who believes deeply in keeping things local, supporting small businesses, and building lasting relationships — both in and out of the salon.

Micah is a graduate of Booker Institute of Cosmetology and attends yearly classes and hair shows that demonstrate the latest trends in cutting, color, and style. There is nothing more beautiful than a haircut. Flattered by beautiful dimension that serves to create movement and texture within your hairstyle. Faded or washed out color can make any haircut look less than perfect. Micah enjoys giving his clients a complete experience with their hair.

Emily has been enjoying her career as a hair stylist for 14 years. Her clients are the focus of her work and making people feel great about their hair is a passion of hers. It’s about the experience and connection! Since graduating from Traverse City Beauty college, continued education has been a priority to her as she keeps up on the ever changing trends. Her certifications include Redken Color, obtained in New York, and Global Keratin taming and smoothing treatments, among other precision and creative cutting techniques from various industry leaders and artists. While she loves all aspects of hair design, she specializes in short textured styles, long hair, curly hair, color, blonding, wedding parties, and GK The Best hair smoothing treatments. When not in the salon, Emily’s focus is family. She is on the go with her husband and 2 kids, embracing the Up North life.
